Nail Polish: Battle of the Blues

1st Up: China Glaze "For Audrey"
Everyone raves about this polish. For a reason, too. It applies beautifully and it is a true Tiffany Blue. A lot of brands have tried to replicate this color, but none quite capture it as gracefully as China Glaze. As with all China Glaze polishes, the color pay off is tremendous. The formula is GREAT and this is my favorite polish of the bunch, hands down. I have nothing but good things to say about "For Audrey" and I picked this polish up for FREE a few months ago at my local beauty supply store. They had a buy two get one free deal, so I picked this one up alongside "Heaven" and "Something Sweet". My local beauty supply store sells China Glaze for $4 but I've seen China Glaze go for between $3 to $8. It depends!

2nd Up: Mac "Pistachio Creme"
From the latest MAC collection, I present to you: Pistachio Creme. This color is very unique, for MAC (at least). So unique, that when I went to my local counter to purchase it, the MAC lady I spoke with told me "I don't think we even make a color like that" but luckly, she called over a co-worker and she knew her stuff. I'm not going to lie, the formula can be hard to work with. And for the price, that could be a dealbreaker. It is a bit streaky, but completely opaque after the first two coats and it dries fairly quickly too. I'm happy I have this polish. I have found that MAC has the best nail polish brushes EVER. With a nice steady hand and some patience, this color is beautiful and worth the splurge. I paid $17 for this nail polish, and I have no regrets about it.

3rd Up: Essie "In The Cab-ana"
The flagship color from the 2013 Resort Collection! Man, this color is beautiful. It is a deep blue that is so opaque and lovely. It really compliments any skintone and applys like a dream. Essie polishes can be hit or miss with me, and when I think of Essie- I think of sheer feminine colors, but this polish has changed my perspective entirely. I paid $7.50 for this color at CVS, and I really reccomend it.

4th Up: CoverGirl "Mint Mojito"
CoverGirl's tagline for their newest line of polishes is: "Go Topless"! So cute, right? I still used a topcoat to even out the polish, but that was just me. The color is more on the green side, but it's a wonderful mint Drugstore color. I was quite impressed with this color, but the formula can be a bit thick. Really thick, actually. A steady hand and some patience will eliminate the problem entirely, though. This polish retails for $4 and for the price, this is a great unique color!
