Lipstick Review: CHATTERBOX by Mac (Amplifed)
This color is bright, bold, and beautiful. It's not an *everyday* pink because it's not subtle-- but it is a perfect bold color to wear on a summer day with a smile! It is an amplified finish, which makes your lips pop! It also is long lasting, which is great! I reccomend wearing a lipliner underneath this lip color, because it is runny without one. It is warm, lovely, and just SO lovely for summer :)
Chatterbox by MAC retails for $15.

Nail Polish: Battle of the Blues
1st Up: China Glaze "For Audrey"
Everyone raves about this polish. For a reason, too. It applies beautifully and it is a true Tiffany Blue. A lot of brands have tried to replicate this color, but none quite capture it as gracefully as China Glaze. As with all China Glaze polishes, the color pay off is tremendous. The formula is GREAT and this is my favorite polish of the bunch, hands down. I have nothing but good things to say about "For Audrey" and I picked this polish up for FREE a few months ago at my local beauty supply store. They had a buy two get one free deal, so I picked this one up alongside "Heaven" and "Something Sweet". My local beauty supply store sells China Glaze for $4 but I've seen China Glaze go for between $3 to $8. It depends!
2nd Up: Mac "Pistachio Creme"
From the latest MAC collection, I present to you: Pistachio Creme. This color is very unique, for MAC (at least). So unique, that when I went to my local counter to purchase it, the MAC lady I spoke with told me "I don't think we even make a color like that" but luckly, she called over a co-worker and she knew her stuff. I'm not going to lie, the formula can be hard to work with. And for the price, that could be a dealbreaker. It is a bit streaky, but completely opaque after the first two coats and it dries fairly quickly too. I'm happy I have this polish. I have found that MAC has the best nail polish brushes EVER. With a nice steady hand and some patience, this color is beautiful and worth the splurge. I paid $17 for this nail polish, and I have no regrets about it.
3rd Up: Essie "In The Cab-ana"
The flagship color from the 2013 Resort Collection! Man, this color is beautiful. It is a deep blue that is so opaque and lovely. It really compliments any skintone and applys like a dream. Essie polishes can be hit or miss with me, and when I think of Essie- I think of sheer feminine colors, but this polish has changed my perspective entirely. I paid $7.50 for this color at CVS, and I really reccomend it.
4th Up: CoverGirl "Mint Mojito"
CoverGirl's tagline for their newest line of polishes is: "Go Topless"! So cute, right? I still used a topcoat to even out the polish, but that was just me. The color is more on the green side, but it's a wonderful mint Drugstore color. I was quite impressed with this color, but the formula can be a bit thick. Really thick, actually. A steady hand and some patience will eliminate the problem entirely, though. This polish retails for $4 and for the price, this is a great unique color!
Lipstick Review: BRAVE RED by Mac (Cremesheen)
Now to talk about my favorite red lipstick EVER (and the lipstick I named my blog after...) Brave Red by MAC :)
This color is bright and breathtaking. It is a true red with no orange or blue undertones. This is pretty because there are slight gold shimmers in this; it adds a subtle aspect of dimension that is very unique for a red lipstick. The formula is wonderful, as with all of MAC's cremesheens. It is a wearable daytime look, but it also is marvelous for a more put together night time look. Of course, it bleeds and feathers a little bit but a little preparation and this is fixable. A red lipliner would solve that issue, easily.
Brave Red by MAC retails for $15. It is well worth the price!

Nail of the Day: Charlotte Russe Light Mint (Dupe For Deborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream)
I was out shopping for a friend's birthday gift when I cam across this treasure. I was immediately struck by how similar it appeared to "Mermaid's Dream" by Deborah Lippman, a polish I've had my eyes on for a while- but I can't really bring myself to pay $20 plus shipping fees for it.
Charlotte Russe has an excellent policy when it comes to nail polish; two for $6. That is an excellent deal, so this polish turned out to be only $3!

The packaging is GORGEOUS. The brush is simple and easy to apply as well.
In terms of formula, this is crazy hard to remove. It is completely opaque in about three strokes and I imagine if you layered a pretty blue polish like "For Audrey" by China Glaze or "Mint Candy Apple" by Essie then it would be opaque even sooner. Quite simply, this is a beautiful and unique polish. I'd opt for this $3 polish if you are interested in the $20 Deborah Lippman one.

Nail of the Day: Orly Lollipop
A few weeks ago, I picked up Lollipop by Orly at my local CVS. It was marked down by 50%, which made it about $4.50. I was really excited to buy this color because I am always impressed by the quality of Orly Polishes and this color looked lovely.
The color pay off is very true to the bottle. Overall, this polish is a very cool toned medium pastel. It is a lovely combination of a pale lavender and a light pink.
In regards to it's formula; it's great! It takes about three coats to reach a smooth finish. It drys really fast too, which is always a plus!

So, "Lollipop" is a very beautiful go-to pink color for Summer!
I decided to add an accent color, "Sparked" by Wet and Wild
A beautiful shimmery pink glitter polish. (Price $1)
